Shovels & Wheelbarrows #2 COMPLETED

Today the progress meter reached $1000 which completes our goal! At last count, also received $146 that did not register on the progress meter and have at least one more check on the way.

Since there are three teams involved in this, have to coordinate with them on getting the money to them, but I expect to have it in their hands shortly. Then I'll be posting updates as soon as I have them. I likely won't travel to in again until May or June so it'll be a while until we can have a first-hand account from me, but I'll post when I get updates from the teams from in the camp.

Thanks to: Michael, Kevin, Reid, John, Pam, Niny, Tom, Anne, Nick, Jeff, Cynthia, Elsbeth, Tim, Lisa, Terry, Sean, Carla, Grace, Rose, Michael, Judy, Cuda, Sol, Sue, Steve, & Luke!
Special thanks to: members of .

More Shovels & Wheelbarrows tip jar

My first dropcash campaign of $250 was sucessful [1] [2].

There are now seven people working directly with me as humanist volunteers in the Budaburam Liberian Refugee Camp in Ghana [3]. Those seven have teams of their own and some of those people have teams of their own, adding up to more than 1000 people.

This new campaign is to support three teams with their ongoing volunteer projects. One of the three is the same team as from the first campaign (Sampson Nugba). The second is working on an agriculture project (Beatrice Brown). The third is also working on the neighborhood cleanup as part of the campaign to stop Malaria (Chris Flomo).

Update Jan 5 - I forgot to mention that the goal is $1000. Thanks to Michael, Reid, Pam, Tim, Terry, Carla, Judy, Sue, Steve, & Luke we have $530!! so far (some in non-tip jar methods so are not reflected in the progress meter on the right).
